More than 20 years ago, Lincoln Towing operated a wrecking yard on S.R. 9 in
Woodinville, Washington, about 15 miles northeast of Seattle. Later, a son
of the owner realized that Mustang parts were becoming high in demand. Their
inventory of wrecked vehicles soon changed to mostly Mustangs, Cougars,
Capri's and other classic Fords. As such, they started a subsidiary known as
Wild West Classic Mustang Ranch.
Over the years the inventory of wrecked and
unwanted cars grew to more than 450 Mustangs, of all vintages. To accommodate
the increasing influx of vehicles, some would be stripped and the parts
would be stored. The Ranch became an icon, and was well known throughout
North America, Australia, and other countries. To further expand their
offerings, the Ranch started offering reproduction and NOS Mustang parts.
In 2001, a yard hand, his younger brother and their father purchased the Ranch
from the Lincolns, and continued the tradition of supplying used,
reproduction, and NOS Mustang parts. In 2004, the Ranch and other area
businesses were forced to give up the land which they occupied to make room
for a waste treatment facility. At that point, The Ranch stripped all of the vehicles,
which were later crushed, and warehoused the parts in the neighboring city
of Monroe, situated on Highway 2 - approximately 15 miles east of Everett. The
younger brother had bowed out of the business just prior to the move to
Monroe. In the mean time, the remaining brother remarried, and family obligations caused him to give up the
Ranch. The Ranch closed its doors forever on October 31, 2005.
It was on this day that the inventory was sold off completely to a pair of hobbyists,
one of which had been a customer of the Ranch and friends with the owners
and yard hands. B&M Classic Ford was thus born. Rather than relocate the
huge amounts of inventory, the new partners decided to stay in the same
location as the Ranch, though a certain amount of cleanup and restructuring was
required. Four months later, B&M Classic Ford opened its doors to the public
with this goal in mind: to provide one-stop-shopping to classic Ford
hobbyists at competitive prices.
